Our Achievements

Below are some achievements of the Association of Graduates in Skills Development-Ghana (AGSD-GH). They are:

  1. We encouraged and helped some of our members start their own farms at Teacher Mante, Obregyimah, Panpanso Krokese, Ayirebi, Okumaning, Wulensi, Yawkoko, Oda and Akropong-Akuapim.
  2. AGSD-GH assisted over 356 people to gain temporal and permanent jobs.
  3. Three (3) times AGSD-GH have sat on the MTN Career Fair Planning Committee – 2013/2014 and 2015.
  4. AGSD-GH served on the African Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET) Steering Committee for the Informal and Formal City Dialogue. The committee works on more than $1.5Million funding from the Rockefeller Foundation.
  5. 500 job placement opportunity by RibUrban Investment (still recruiting)
  6. Fully participated in the drafting of the National Youth Policy (from Day 1 to the last Committee Meeting).
  7. Proposed the Graduate Business Fund and met appropriate government agencies. An initiative that has given birth to Youth Enterprise Support (YES).
  8. Assisted students from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, Accra Polytechnic, Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Centre, University College of Management Studies, University of Professional Studies, Accra and Wisconsin International University College with recommendation from their supervisors to complete their project works related to employment of unemployment.
  9. “AGSD-GH Challenge Yourself Initiative”. This initiative encourages students to take up initiatives to enhance their skills. Thanks to Professor Esther Sakyi Dawson for giving us the first opportunity.
  10. Media Contributions; AGSD-GH  has contributed to discussions on several media platforms. Both local and international.
  11. AGSD-GH have secured a 300-acre land at Techiman for farming purposes.
  12. AGSD-GH have assisted 3 individuals to secure funding to further their education outside Ghana.
